Oregon State brings a proven track record of excellence in teaching, groundbreaking disciplinary research and an Outreach and Engagement division recognized as an exemplary model by our peer institutions. Since 1911, the Division of Outreach and Engagement at Oregon State University has built a reputation for excellence and a network of reciprocal relationships across Oregon, with over 500 faculty, partnerships with 8 of the 11 academic colleges and a presence in every Oregon county.

Outreach and Engagement Strategic Plan

As part of the 2016-2021 Outreach and Engagement Strategic Plan, Outreach and Engagement seeks to enhance the culture and impact of OSU, equitably serve a broad diversity of learners, communities and stakeholders, and increase community and learner engagement.

Each of these goals provides the foundation for the Outdoor Recreation Economy Initiative and will create opportunities to further actualize the mission of the university and the strategic goals of Outreach and Engagement.

As the outdoor recreation industry grows and evolves, Oregon State will work alongside industry to ensure that we lead and support the growth, vibrancy and sustainability of the outdoor economy.
